Meet Jacy Kennedy ARNP
Jacy Kennedy ARNP, Jacy Kennedy is a certified family nurse practitioner and clinic manager. Jacy graduated from Indian Hills Community College with her Associate Degree in Nursing and her Associate Degree in Art. She went on to complete her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing at Walden University before earning her Master of Science in Nursing. She is also certified in Botox injections and fillers. Her background encompasses hospital registration, hospital billing, medical nursing and surgical nursing, aesthetic injections and procedures, and pediatrics. She is involved and serves on the Foster Care Review Board for Wapello Co. Outside of work, Jacy enjoys spending time with her husband, Rich, and their children, Maddex, Draek, Jaxen, and Swayzee. She loves to travel wherever she can and spends her summers camping and boating. Jacy was born and raised in Ottumwa, Iowa. Jacy's favorite thing about working in pediatrics is developing relationships with families and children and getting to watch them grow throughout their childhood.
Meet Megan Henry ARNP
Megan Henry ARNP, Megan graduated from Indian Hills Community College in 2017 where she earned her Associates Degree in Nursing Science. After graduating Indian Hills, she worked at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics for four years on their adult medical-surgical floor while obtaining her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing through the University of Iowa. Following graduation in 2021, Megan decided to become a travel nurse and worked at different hospitals around the Midwest for about two years until finally settling in Washington, Iowa. While finishing graduate school, she worked on the medical-surgical floor and more recently, Emergency Department. She earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree through Herzing University.
During her training, Megan thoroughly enjoyed caring for the pediatric population and develop a passion for building those relationships with not only the child, but also their parents. “My goal is to help create a warm, welcoming and safe environment and to have kids be excited to go to the office rather than be scared or frightened.”
Outside of work, Megan enjoys hanging out with her husband and their dog, where they enjoy spending time with family, boating at the lake, traveling and watching Hawkeye football!

Meet McKenna Bond ARNP
McKenna Bond ARNP, McKenna is a certified family nurse practitioner. She reviewed her Associate Degree from Indian Hills Community College, her Bachelors of Science Degree from Mercy College of Health Sciences and her Masters of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. McKenna's background includes working as a pediatric nurse, mother-baby nurse, clinic nurse, and dialysis nurse in in her years as an RN. As a nurse practitioner, her experience has been in pediatrics. She enjoys working with children and has found herself always coming back to jobs that include this population. Outside of work McKenna enjoys spending time with her Husband (Jared) and Daughter (Ella) and they are expecting a baby boy in May 2024. They love to camp, boat, and spend time on the farm. McKenna's favorite thing about working in pediatrics is watching kids grow throughout the years and bringing joy to them.
Staff
Shelby Sheedy, Receptionist Shelby received her education from Indian Hills Community College. She has previously worked as a loan processor at South Ottumwa Savings Bank. Outside of work, Shelby enjoys spending time with her husband, Clayton, and their kids, Crew and Wrenley. They love to spend their time outdoors by the pool during the summer! She also enjoys family game nights and watching movies. Her favorite thing about working in pediatrics is watching them grow and develop their own personalities.
Rich Kennedy is our Senior Operations Manager. He holds his Master’s degree in Business Administration from St. Ambrose University along with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Sociology from Buena Vista University and an AA from IHCC. Rich is responsible for Human Resources and Operations management Rich brings energy to the practice that is contagious. Rich is a combat wounded veteran of the United States Army and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom serving on Task Force Iron Hawk. Rich has a background in being a veteran representative and as a training facilitator for Indian Hills Community College. In his spare time, Rich can be found with his friends or family engaged in either coaching or camping. Rich is also engaged in the community serving on the Bridge View Center’s Board along with the Friends of Ottumwa Parks Board.
Cheyanne Young, Clinic Manager Cheyanne received her education from Indian Hills Community College. She has previously worked in education and patient relations. She has worked in pediatrics for over 2 years. Cheyanne is a wife and mom of two kids, Nova and Melo. She enjoys watching a good reality tv show, vacationing with her friends, listening to music, and going to concerts. "My favorite thing about working in peds would be creating bonds with littles and their families. it's rewarding to know they enjoy coming to see you when the idea of coming to the doctor can be scary for some." Kayla Skinner, CMA, AAMA Kayla obtained her CNA from Indian Hills Community College in 2017 and her CMA, AAMA from Southeastern Community College in 2021. She has experience working in medical-surgical, OR, family medicine, and pediatrics. Kayla is married with a son and bonus daughter, and also has 2 dogs. She loves golfing as a family and working out. "My favorite thing about working in peds is being able to watch but help the children through all of the not only the good but bad parts of life as well. Giving them that support and encouragement in any way that we can."
Emily Vaughn, LPN.
Emily graduated from Indian Hills in 2010. She is experienced in family practice, geriatrics, orthopedics and pediatrics.
Emily lives at home with her boyfriend Adam and her four children- Graecie, Bailey, Corbyn and Sydney.
Emily enjoys riding UTVs with her family, nights by a bon fire, Iowa State Football and binge watching (crime) documentaries.
Her favorite thing about pediatrics is being an advocate for our little people and listening to all their stories. "I love to be a part of a team that makes going to see the doctor a positive experience for kids and parents alike."
Megan received her associate degree in nursing from Kaplan University and has been an RN for 9 years. She has experience working in medical-surgical, neurology, ophthalmology, geriatrics, allergy, and pediatrics. She has been in the medical field since she was 16, working as a CNA. Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband, Braden, and daughter, Lucy. They are expecting baby #2 in August 2024. She also enjoys spending time outside, anything involved with chocolate, and going antiquing. Megan's favorite thing about working in pediatrics is how resilient kids are. She also enjoys watching them achieve milestones throughout their childhood.
